Surprisingly simple dental diagnostics
We are pleased to introduce you to the dental diagnostics from Hain Lifescience SA.
Periodontitis and peri-implantitis are infectious diseases; their major cause is a unique group of periodonto-pathogenic bacteria. These bacteria actively destroy endogenous tissue, cause inflammatory reactions and in the end, are responsible for the loss of teeth and implants. To ensure long-term success, the therapy requires a targeted elimination of these bacteria. But periodonto-pathogenic bacteria do not remain restricted to the oral cavity but can affect the entire body. Hence periodontitis can facilitate a considerable number of systemic diseases such as heart attacks, diabetes mellitus, stroke and can even provoke premature births.
Marker pathogen analyses with the micro-IDent®plus supply data on quality and quantity of 11 periodonto-pathogenic species. These results represent the optimal basis for the design of individual therapy and the choice of correct antibiotics.
This is how it works:
Ask for our ‘free of charge’ sampling sets. Sampling is very simple and painless and can be done in the dental office. The order form must be completed and samples will be collected. We will do all the administrative work – contact the respective medical aids. A result report will be emailed to you within three working days. The individual bacterial load is described in the report and linked to a specific scenario. A detailed therapeutic recommendation is suggested based on the pathogens present, their respective virulence and concentration.

Genetic risk evaluation with the GenoType IL-1:
In patients with a hereditary susceptibility to inflammation, periodontal diseases proceed considerably faster than in other patients. However, the integration of such patients in special prophylaxis programs helps to stabilize the epithelial attachment and to stop the loss of teeth. Therefore, testing the patient’s disposition is mandatory to ensure the success of extensive and costly restoration measures.
